LéA SEN AGAIN

London-based songwriter and producer Léa Sen releases restrained new single 'Again' from her upcoming EP You Of Now, Pt. 2. After proving herself as an in-demand vocalist, featuring on a number of tracks with artists such as Joy Orbison, Wulu, Oscar Jerome and Vegyn, bar a few solo singles, the new EP will mark the first official collection of songs she has written and self-produced. 'Again' showcases her detailed and distinctive production style. The track is subdued but soulful as gentle electronic textures hover around her vocals, which float above scattered percussive twitches, with flickering guitar lines pulling in and out of focus. Sen utilises the space between the sounds to make minimal and emotive art-pop. Speaking about the record, Sen describes it is a mantra of self-love and embracing vulnerability: “I want people to feel like they’re not crazy,” she says. “We’re all going through it, and it doesn’t mean that you’re not worthy or you’re inadequate. And also maybe a reminder to myself.” You Of Now, Pt. 2 is due out 21 April via Partisan Records, check out the previous singles 'Dragonfly ʚĭɞ' and 'Luv Him (about u)'. -Toby Evans-Jesra
